Welcome to The Corner House! We’re delighted to offer you our stunning suite that’s perfect for any kind of gathering you have in mind. We have four spacious and well-appointed guest rooms across three floors, each with its own private and shared bathroom for your convenience. Our suite is equipped with a separate living room that boasts a cozy wood-burning fireplace, a bright dining room, and a charming backyard lounging deck surrounded by stately maple trees. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a reunion with your friends, our suite is the perfect place for you. The Corner House is the perfect place for a romantic weekend getaway, a family celebration or a P.E.I. vacation.
One of the perks of staying at The Corner House is that the innkeeper, Gemma, is both a professional pastry chef and a retired massage therapist. The choices for breakfast can run the gamut of fine French pastries, Chinese dim sum, Vietnamese pho, Middle Eastern shakshuka, Mexican tacos and gorditas or the familiar comfort fare of bacon, eggs and toast. We are happy to plan meals around the very best seasonal ingredients that Prince Edward Island has to offer. For an additional fee and some advance notice, we are more than willing to host lunches and dinners for our guests.

The ambiance at our bed and breakfast is one of a kind. We endeavor to welcome guests with a friendly warmth and a unique P.E.I. experience. To that end, we have created these policies to help us provide consistent service, to be a good neighbor, and to remain a viable business. We invite you to review our policies prior to making your reservations so that we might avoid any surprises.
Check-in is from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am. In order to allow enough time to complete our advanced COVID-19 sanitation procedure in each room, no early check-in or late check-out requests will be granted. Late arrivals can be accommodated with prior notice, please contact the innkeeper for instructions regarding entry into the home.
Access to the guest rooms is for registered guests only, but guest-accompanied visitors are welcome in the 1st floor common areas of the home.. Please let us know if you would like to have any visitors join you for breakfast, at an additional charge.
The Corner House is a 100-year-old, three-story tall building. Our guest rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors and are only accessible via stairs. The home does not feature an elevator. Please watch your footing and your head as you use the stairs.

Booking
Whole house rate is $365 per night from 2 to up to 6 guests. Additional lodging can be provided for up to 2 more guests at $30 per night per additional guest. All bookings must have a minimum of 2 nights stay.

A deposit is due at the time of booking. To confirm reservations at The Corner House, guests are required to furnish an advance deposit of 50% of the cost of the entire reservation, guaranteed with a valid credit card. The remaining 50% plus applicable taxes and incidentals will be charged to your credit card on file on the day of your arrival. All reservations are subject to 15% HST. We accept Visa, MasterCard and e-transfer.
No shows, late check-ins and early check-outs are responsible for payment of the entire reservation. Rates are subject to change without notice.
A two night minimum stay applies for all reservations booked at The Corner House. Holidays and Special Event weekends may require a three or four night reservation. Please contact us with your specific reservation inquiries and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.
Yes, we require a 50% down payment at the time of booking.
We understand the circumstances of life can change things however we only have one booking at a time so sudden cancelations greatly affect us. As a result we firmly adhere to our cancellation policy. You have until 7 days prior to your arrival to cancel or move your reservation; we will refund your deposit less a 15% processing fee. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival date, regardless of the circumstances, your reservation will be charged in full and is fully non-refundable. Reducing the length of stay or an early departure is considered a cancellation.
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance to cover your existing or future stay, so that you can book with confidence and be reassured that you have the appropriate protection should there be travel restrictions or health emergencies.

Other Policies
Well-behaved children age 10 and over are welcome at The Corner House. However, the rooms have a maximum occupancy of 2 guests, and we do not allow or provide air-mattresses or cots. Special situations may allow for younger children, please call to make arrangements. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while on the premises
Out of courtesy to our guests with allergies, we can not accommodate pets. We’ll be happy to recommend our favorite local boarding kennels. Please be aware that we do own two cats, Target and Sammie. They are not allowed into the guest rooms or any of the guest common areas. They are both confined to the innkeeper’s quarters, but you may occasionally see them enjoying the lovely gardens.
The Corner House is a smoke-free establishment. There is absolutely no smoking inside the house or guest rooms, and this includes vaping and e-cigarettes. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available, we only ask that you respect our beautiful property and pick up after yourself. Smoking in a designated non-smoking area is subject to a cleaning fee.
No candles, oil lamps, or any open flame devices are permitted in guest rooms at any time. Please use our provided dark wash cloths for makeup removal. Guests will be held responsible and will be charged for repair or replacement or damages or losses to linens, towels, furniture, furnishings, or other items. Please do not remove any items from the property. If guests have been found to have stolen an item or items from property, we will seek monetary reimbursement and prosecute to the full extent of the law. Each guest room is stocked with an emergency box of supplies in case of an accident (such as a spill or staining to the bedding/linens/furniture). Please let us know if there is an accident in the room and something needs to be cleaned immediately so we can avoid permanent damage and related damage charges.
We want all of our guests to enjoy their stay at The Corner House and experience a relaxing environment. Please keep in mind that we are located in the middle of a quiet neighbourhood. To this end, we do ask that you be mindful of neighbours when you enter and leave the premises, and respect our quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
